Follow!

I regularly get messages with people asking me to e-mail them when the blog updates.  There is a tool on the right side of the page where you can input your e-mail and you should receive notifications when the blog is updated.  Use it!
I have also started a Facebook page called "Large Scale Battletech Builders."  It is dedicated to just that.  Look for it and send me a "Join" request.

Invoices

Hi all.  Quick note: PayPal auto-generated an invoice number and chose to continue the MadCat invoice numbers.  All the recent invoices clearly state it is for the Thor.  Sorry for the confusion!

On a side note...when I made the MK IV, I followed the drawings I had that relied heavily on the mini (see image).  Personally, I think the missile sections of the torso are too wide so I am going to mod my "marketing copy" to reflect the way I think it should look.  I will document the processes so anyone who wants to follow suit can.  Or, you can utilize my build-up services....just saying...

Vulture MK IV Prototype

This came in the mail today...the prototype of the Vulture MK IV. Below you will see parts pics and a pic or two of it after being quickly slapped together.  My main issue...again, I neglected to anticipate the weight of the upper body.

Thor Invoice

Just an FYI....I will sit down and send out invoices later this week.  I would rather do a bunch at once than one or two a day.  Thanks for your patience!

Thor!

The latest kit is here!  It's the Summoner/Thor in 1/60 scale. This kit has 21 pressure cast pieces.  The price is going to be $135 plus shipping.  If you would like one, please e-mail me for an invoice.

Stuff

What a great, ambiguous title for a post, huh?  Stuff.  Could be anything.

First...talked with the caster and I am not happy.  The Vulture MK IV I sent him mid-January is still not done.  In fact, he has still not molded some of the parts. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am with that situation.

Speaking of frustration...I am job hunting.  The career field I am in is dying on the vine. Unfortunately, I am a "jack-of-all-trades" and a master of none...surprisingly unmarketable around here. Very frustrating.

Second...I received the Centurion 3D print and I am more than happy with it.  It does have the lines and what-not inherent with 3D printing but not as bad as I have seen.  There is going to be some clean-up that has to be done and a few mods around joints, but I think this will make an awesome kit one day.

Third...I have finished all I am going to do with Scott's Atlas.  There are some areas that will just be easier to clean when cast.  I had to mod a few pieces to make them casting friendly...fill gaps...touch up some details...I am just anal as hell and am never happy with anything it seems.  That one has gone to the caster and will be kitted when the caster gets caught up with all his other work.

Fourth....for Destiny players....working on a 1:1 Ghost Generalist Shell. It will be hollow for lighting.

Fifth...working on a 1:1000 scale UNSC Frigate from the Halo-verse from a 3D print.  It will be about 20" when done. Yay me!

Finally, two commissions going on,  I am making a Victor for one client...not a pricey build as I have some parts left over from when it was a kit.  The other is...wait for it...the Fafnir. My first build was never meant to be a kit...but this client wants me to make one that could be kitted.  Don't hold your breath, though.  Between the build and what-not, it would not see kit form until 2016...but it looks like it will happen.
