The kit will come with vents for the area over the cockpit as well as missiles as an option. I also plan on trying to cast the cockpit in clear resin...no guarantees there. Casting in clear is more difficult than regular resin. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">If you want to fund this kit I will send out invoices that will require a non-refundable deposit. This will get the construction going. Once the kit is ready to be molded/cast the remaining balance will be due. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Despite the hugely increased cost of material, I am going to try to keep the price-point reasonable...$150 plus shipping. To do this I am going to need a minimum of 15 invoices/down payments (kickstarts?).</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">If you are interested <a href="mailto:battlemechmodels@hotmail.com">please message me</a>. Full terms and details will be laid out in the invoice.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHiqqTfgZMp44aW1lEnP-hFvFbw1B_luTsXeT1BWvOsN_SK7_T-T-J_GcHiFj12aGCHyIPnn_hFlBn2_EZ_HlAjuC1j5uH0BMgCgR_Eo8myp4WjI2RjPeakBNCzdrXq77s3jbt4Qz86p8Ddm8TF98tm7GdQ2U7uOaRHGKjxS5reo-O-6htoUSdp0kp2wOj/s841/bm3866.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="841" data-original-width="616" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHiqqTfgZMp44aW1lEnP-hFvFbw1B_luTsXeT1BWvOsN_SK7_T-T-J_GcHiFj12aGCHyIPnn_hFlBn2_EZ_HlAjuC1j5uH0BMgCgR_Eo8myp4WjI2RjPeakBNCzdrXq77s3jbt4Qz86p8Ddm8TF98tm7GdQ2U7uOaRHGKjxS5reo-O-6htoUSdp0kp2wOj/s320/bm3866.png" width="234" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><p></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-43898932420888291392024-02-23T14:59:00.004-06:002024-02-23T14:59:40.830-06:00New Business Model<p><span style="background-color: black; color: #cccccc; font-family: verdana;">I am leaning heavily towards changing my business model. The greatest hurdle has always been figuring out what mech the community wants. Some mechs will have high demand and low sales...others low initial demand but higher sales. </span></p><p><span style="background-color: black; color: #cccccc; font-family: verdana;">The change I am considering is this. I will offer up a kit with a two part pre-order. The pre-order would go out and require a non-refundable 10% deposit. If there are enough pre-orders then the kit would go into the "build" phase. Once the build is complete the remaining 90% would be due to cover the molding/casting like I do it now. I think this would really help me cut down on the time I spend building mechs that don't sell. Of course, if I am unable to produce the kit, the 10% would be refunded. To do this I would have to provide you with a more clear design than my usual, "trust me" approach. </span></p><p><span style="background-color: black; color: #cccccc; font-family: verdana;">Thoughts?</span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-79766508874115941912024-02-15T15:44:00.001-06:002024-02-15T15:44:10.641-06:00SRM Carrier<p><span style="font-family: verdana;"> The SRM carrier kits are going to begin shipping this week!</span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-25385512025598752362024-01-02T10:51:00.003-06:002024-01-02T10:51:28.703-06:00Happy 2024<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">It is my hope that we can make 2024 better than 2023 turned out to be. Unfortunately, this page doesn't get a lot of traffic anymore. Having spoken with several others I know who have business websites it seems people cruise social media sites more than they do websites. In fact, I saw a post on Facebook recently where someone was amazed that a model FB site had a huge website with tons of resources. I have been a subscriber to that website since the early 2000s. Sadly, I have fallen into that trap too...briefly looking at social media sites rather than websites. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">The Highlander is available for sale. It is a bit larger than 1/60 as it was originally designed as a client commission and he wanted a big Highlander for his office. The cost is $235 plus shipping but it is a big kit...about 11" tall (about 28cm).</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiISBQ-8ziov3HVHzewmTBHCkDTz1EEP_3BbTYAjCQH3HuWFHiIJgynY5wTJiLnPZHKP7tJyL_1O8_S5NgBOCyclho5CxjBaTEYlGdRdjx_K9UZzSPX9hoTcE8zehMtrbwSEx5OKvOWHw2zqIttAjTHw8nur_2DXLtRBHEjOdtSDBrTFi7zPE_vto9rik0X/s2015/HGN%20Complete.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2015" data-original-width="1456" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiISBQ-8ziov3HVHzewmTBHCkDTz1EEP_3BbTYAjCQH3HuWFHiIJgynY5wTJiLnPZHKP7tJyL_1O8_S5NgBOCyclho5CxjBaTEYlGdRdjx_K9UZzSPX9hoTcE8zehMtrbwSEx5OKvOWHw2zqIttAjTHw8nur_2DXLtRBHEjOdtSDBrTFi7zPE_vto9rik0X/w289-h400/HGN%20Complete.jpg" width="289" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: verdana;">I am currently trying to get funding together for a Hunchback kit. I am doing Highlanders in batches of 5. Once I get the current 5 orders done I'll move on to the next 5.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I've been asked what my next mech is and honestly, I don't know. After the Highlander I can say most heavy and assault mechs are off the table. They are just too expensive to produce and there isn't a lot of "meat on the bone" for me. <br /><br />The economy is playing into it as well. As much as the media loves to tell us everything is getting better, I don't see it. Gas is still up, my grocery bill is about 30% higher, utilities are up, etc. In talking with customers overseas I know they are dealing with the same issues.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">That being said, it makes it hard to get folks to commit to a $150 model let alone a $225 model. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Maybe I'll get lucky and a commission will come in.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Keep on building, folks!</span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-42997339530950578422023-07-09T22:44:00.000-05:002023-07-09T22:44:41.450-05:00Long Time, No Update<p><span style="font-family: verdana;"> Hi All,</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I've been dealing with the death of a close family member. Jess and I are just a mess at the moment...just kind of existing in a fog. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">All but a couple of the Vindicators are done and ready to ship. There are a couple international orders to take care of but that is it. Huzzah and thanks for supporting this mech!</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Next, the regulars have talked me into molding the Highlander I am custom building for a client. Now, it is going to take a lot of rubber to mold and resin to cast. This is a big mech...about the same size as the Armorcast Atlas. There are so many folks interested that I am doing a randomization for small batch pre-orders. Once I compile a list of those that are a 100% Yes I will enter all the names in a spreadsheet and then randomize the names and just work through the list in small batches. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">If you are interested in the Highlander, please let me know by <a href="mailto:battlemechmodels@hotmail.com" target="_blank">e-mailing me here</a>. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEb3X99P7Z9vzwLXvTKGT4JlgKnJjQpJYRuh0u9kCQh3YxbSU-d4vX4PrLfL43x4dGyf_U3A57ipJ-exMARQGSMkMxv7efS3Tx-BYHKF_jcosFgX0C0kDtJVWzsSGIKqKAsZ4AJsRUzaWPQDBl3H4Bs3wqrlflkT8spSa7pYcw4GwBAp8e3IBf5fRF1Wa8/s2983/IMG_20230516_203503672~2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2983" data-original-width="2160" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEb3X99P7Z9vzwLXvTKGT4JlgKnJjQpJYRuh0u9kCQh3YxbSU-d4vX4PrLfL43x4dGyf_U3A57ipJ-exMARQGSMkMxv7efS3Tx-BYHKF_jcosFgX0C0kDtJVWzsSGIKqKAsZ4AJsRUzaWPQDBl3H4Bs3wqrlflkT8spSa7pYcw4GwBAp8e3IBf5fRF1Wa8/s320/IMG_20230516_203503672~2.jpg" width="232" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDptDwtiYFPUN6dXYDY8JEJM9LFUSLEKBM0eclBGydRGrglBAJer7cqSrFgI56NiceWKNWWCBJfUXygUrwv6tQQxR7uag_iNi7_bMDlTxo8KDxfq1oPNY-41x3vJXEmWmbqdKzGjeNBQnxv103p4gnBrVunDLQTy3WpAFd-WQt3OYHYFwqzTgCZVO59tKp/s1674/IMG_20230623_123638291~2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1329" data-original-width="1674" height="254" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDptDwtiYFPUN6dXYDY8JEJM9LFUSLEKBM0eclBGydRGrglBAJer7cqSrFgI56NiceWKNWWCBJfUXygUrwv6tQQxR7uag_iNi7_bMDlTxo8KDxfq1oPNY-41x3vJXEmWmbqdKzGjeNBQnxv103p4gnBrVunDLQTy3WpAFd-WQt3OYHYFwqzTgCZVO59tKp/s320/IMG_20230623_123638291~2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvPmlygLhSMu84V1HUMJ8LhNl5jDxaNkSKyiEllgX60zNQj0vf-HoQG20S1bPzKfg94qFtSJ9gB_3GxVpvFe7CxSSVfF4ulHLYleWxufoeyLhcGRmd2MNIN54NB65iAY_72BQ7M-7ML6wtErt8y_-0VzG-NkcFT5yJUaNoyARzEvYc1UW5bEiSp9HABiIe/s1304/IMG_20230623_123632974~2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1304" data-original-width="1266" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvPmlygLhSMu84V1HUMJ8LhNl5jDxaNkSKyiEllgX60zNQj0vf-HoQG20S1bPzKfg94qFtSJ9gB_3GxVpvFe7CxSSVfF4ulHLYleWxufoeyLhcGRmd2MNIN54NB65iAY_72BQ7M-7ML6wtErt8y_-0VzG-NkcFT5yJUaNoyARzEvYc1UW5bEiSp9HABiIe/s320/IMG_20230623_123632974~2.jpg" width="311" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><p></p><p><br /></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-16256749413995874192023-05-05T11:44:00.001-05:002023-05-05T11:44:39.816-05:00Where to begin?<span style="font-family: verdana;">Good Afternoon Everyone,</span><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">Update:</span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">Some of the Vindicator parts are molded, some are already molded. This was another collaboration with Albert Benton </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">The price would be around $140 plus shipping. I know that's a lot for a medium mech but resin and rubber prices are still through the roof...despite what we are being told about inflation/prices coming down. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">For those that pre-order there will be a pre-order bonus included. My current plan is to try to get laser etched wallet sized "Warranty Cards" made for you. Some of you got similar cards with your Marauders. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">So, who's in? <a href="mailto:battlemechmodels@hotmail.com" target="_blank">E-mail me here...</a></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyDvCePhnHRkyaRZ2e3jeC1F5QGMqliLf8R5xPrTHGgQP2-9c_izVOZJz45y74VLKNSmYF4efQkSvTHbzun1Q-g_wfCXotcoCBfW34qmYBIshlQF_3XZrndimvxq7bpZVVID4pDn7K9gJmjckxiok2nEy66Ow7jaH9MLraYKV0j9JvAIYJG0cTZEDIgQ/s1721/Davion%20Vindi.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1721" data-original-width="969" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyDvCePhnHRkyaRZ2e3jeC1F5QGMqliLf8R5xPrTHGgQP2-9c_izVOZJz45y74VLKNSmYF4efQkSvTHbzun1Q-g_wfCXotcoCBfW34qmYBIshlQF_3XZrndimvxq7bpZVVID4pDn7K9gJmjckxiok2nEy66Ow7jaH9MLraYKV0j9JvAIYJG0cTZEDIgQ/s320/Davion%20Vindi.jpg" width="180" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFHlgAbm24135GRxZY-9uMo1L8Z1I8zMksfHY9BCYCWvvwg906YWTe7U-vKufo3ZGam_dXhloOeE1I7ZDswCztxocn5VgFmu7BMRbcX6xJWq26VoAUaDp1hfourbDrWDbaucYW2EWvu9ClsIUKmHSnDhkDTk9DtMvsbiSLVH9hVw5AKqTJVB-GrFlOdg/s1199/thumbnail_Vindi%20Front%20ortho%20Dissasemble.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1199" data-original-width="975" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFHlgAbm24135GRxZY-9uMo1L8Z1I8zMksfHY9BCYCWvvwg906YWTe7U-vKufo3ZGam_dXhloOeE1I7ZDswCztxocn5VgFmu7BMRbcX6xJWq26VoAUaDp1hfourbDrWDbaucYW2EWvu9ClsIUKmHSnDhkDTk9DtMvsbiSLVH9hVw5AKqTJVB-GrFlOdg/s320/thumbnail_Vindi%20Front%20ortho%20Dissasemble.png" width="260" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><p></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-91705142868485669742023-02-09T14:33:00.001-06:002023-02-09T14:33:55.225-06:00Another Operations Update<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Well, things are progressing slower than we had hoped. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I am finally coming off the morphine but I still hurt and am tired all the damn time. My surgeon is now shooting for "back to normal" in the May time frame. It just boils down to the fact that the area where we had to do work is the core of the body. There is very little I can do that doesn't involve my abs. Add to that this is the 5th time in 10 years this part of the body has been chopped on...it's just not cooperating as we had hoped.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Our AC died. I have all the parts for the Vindicator printed. There is just some clean-up to do. I don't want to open a pre-order until this is 100% ready to go into molds and I'll have to have assistance working with the rubber. There are several regulars who visit this site and not my Facebook page so here is a rather long winded update.</p><p><br /></p><p>All year I have been dealing with increasing abdominal pain and fatigue amongst other things. The abdominal pain prevented me from working in the shop for more than a couple hours at a time. Anyone who understands anatomy knows that the "core" of the body is involved in pretty much any and all movement. Almost every activity in my ship requires bending, twisting, leaning over, etc. </p><p><br /></p><p>I finally visited a doctor in August and he found several problems all related to the cancer surgery in 2012. When the cancer doc did the surgery he really did not take into account the nervous system...he just chopped out the the tumor and the margins and whatever nerves were in the way just got chopped out.</p><p><br /></p><p>So, I had a procedure to help me swallow...yeah, I was having trouble swallowing food and drink. </p><p><br /></p><p>In late October the surgeon who had tried to fix the shit hernia repair situation back in 2016 went in to fix yet another hernia that had popped up. When he went in he found things in my abdomen were much, much worse than the MRI had shown. After he got in there he found that the muscles in my abdomen looked like "swiss cheese." The hour-long surgery turned into an almost 5 hour procedure. The surgeon had to take apart the muscle layers, fix all the rips, insert more mesh in between those layers and then rebuild my abdominal wall with even more mesh. I spent almost 6 weeks in bed. My activity was limited to shuffling around the house, using the toilet, showering and taking my oxycodone and morphine.</p><p><br /></p><p>I just had a follow-up with the surgeon this week and he was quite irate that I was doing simple things like sweeping the hard-wood floors. He said that if everything goes perfectly I might be at 75-80% healed by the beginning of 2023. Once he feels I am healed enough I will have to go through physical therapy to tone/retrain my core muscles. </p><p><br /></p><p>My plan is to start taking on limited casting jobs with the understanding that it will probably take a couple weeks to get the kit cast. </p><p><br /></p><p>I am, unfortunately, without any income since September. The only income I have is what I have coming from Patreon (9 very loyal supporters). Even with health insurance, the amount out-of-pocket has been outrageous and has pretty much drained out emergency fund. </p><p><br /></p><p>So, I'm trying to get back on my feet. I have upgraded from being in bed to being in a recliner. Ugh. If there are any kits you want to order feel free to hit the marketplace. If you wan to <a href="http://patreon.com/BattlemechModels" target="_blank">join my Patreon you can click HERE. </a></p><p>Thanks for your support and patience.</p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-32818450877891043572022-10-10T11:01:00.000-05:002022-10-10T11:01:41.349-05:00Facebook Client's Page<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">For those that have not moved over to the new Facebook Clients page (see link in previous post) you are missing out on a lot. I have auctioned off several of my older, out of production mechs to help with medical costs and whatnot. There has been a Bushwhacker, a Deimos and now a Dervish up for sale. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I regularly get e-mails asking about re-popping some of these old designs...well, now is your chance so don't miss out. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">As I said, right now I have a Dervish up for auction (not eBay, the FB page). The current bid is $150. <a href="mailto:battlemechmodels@hotmail.com">Message me</a> if you want to throw a bid into the ring.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkfYbpAR1I0lICjGUSAZ5Ic_A-F2exAjL966MgyIRYgfTQYEP7OAc6OkcTHNeJ-sDj68aBC70hAtS2cE2JAqexZ6ZRNH2El0ZoZh70xWB8YEkUpEk2c-p6OGPdDrSN-p9kDUzpmkDHfiaCbKHOblymdCZkbPt9WQn5J9SaDWdjU4RZ1yOvXFfa-KThMQ/s3072/100_8409.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2304" data-original-width="3072" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkfYbpAR1I0lICjGUSAZ5Ic_A-F2exAjL966MgyIRYgfTQYEP7OAc6OkcTHNeJ-sDj68aBC70hAtS2cE2JAqexZ6ZRNH2El0ZoZh70xWB8YEkUpEk2c-p6OGPdDrSN-p9kDUzpmkDHfiaCbKHOblymdCZkbPt9WQn5J9SaDWdjU4RZ1yOvXFfa-KThMQ/s320/100_8409.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTKu1D_lDk5cwhi98XiQIauzSsrn9PwKV0qi0bLwxhTtPFdM7suNYtS7GxGUNMCjCKbDC1bWK4QtmAKa0kGrR66F6FWCAG1rAHYCMQJKEvuZAVui8QAna-UE5zfUkdxe46M4qQE3hMqTgMFLYrfmV-XhiCU2gH4yi6XnIBD6UIyZ5sScbg9aSWUQzBrA/s3072/100_8463.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3072" data-original-width="2304" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTKu1D_lDk5cwhi98XiQIauzSsrn9PwKV0qi0bLwxhTtPFdM7suNYtS7GxGUNMCjCKbDC1bWK4QtmAKa0kGrR66F6FWCAG1rAHYCMQJKEvuZAVui8QAna-UE5zfUkdxe46M4qQE3hMqTgMFLYrfmV-XhiCU2gH4yi6XnIBD6UIyZ5sScbg9aSWUQzBrA/s320/100_8463.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnopQ8rdo2ig-OzOWc3NsEaTLhXh6YWJ1kCqD4na_7y4tyXDcvSt1wRuVOZuLwGsv12-dAdcuLE3RmfCng4scpQH-kY7Cz9seqApWj3gOh4W1nEueX4b35XI2JcUuFlMj3oDHe5EcdoDYRoZ-g7G-aDrXAG-3o29r8Ph6TyM0aD7CE3V2i-E4oJqqXag/s3072/100_8464.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3072" data-original-width="2304" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnopQ8rdo2ig-OzOWc3NsEaTLhXh6YWJ1kCqD4na_7y4tyXDcvSt1wRuVOZuLwGsv12-dAdcuLE3RmfCng4scpQH-kY7Cz9seqApWj3gOh4W1nEueX4b35XI2JcUuFlMj3oDHe5EcdoDYRoZ-g7G-aDrXAG-3o29r8Ph6TyM0aD7CE3V2i-E4oJqqXag/s320/100_8464.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAjA7UoipUw7XmbzJN9r22rPt0Xt8D6L31VZ3OnmnsUdMe56dTrYPSJzCJ9jrlAgASzSi8UTJrFTBeApQpPA8DxMb1P7oXkeWQ5lyiHwE4Gg8vEX1ptQDI3oLVf8E72RRv9yJ8wocKSSNeGwM3x2c_28pjaCi5oDBETIpZRkrFh8Z7KCSgS-ENaEMyzQ/s3072/100_8570.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3072" data-original-width="2304" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAjA7UoipUw7XmbzJN9r22rPt0Xt8D6L31VZ3OnmnsUdMe56dTrYPSJzCJ9jrlAgASzSi8UTJrFTBeApQpPA8DxMb1P7oXkeWQ5lyiHwE4Gg8vEX1ptQDI3oLVf8E72RRv9yJ8wocKSSNeGwM3x2c_28pjaCi5oDBETIpZRkrFh8Z7KCSgS-ENaEMyzQ/s320/100_8570.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><p></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-61160269723498151802022-09-12T12:59:00.003-05:002022-09-12T12:59:58.563-05:00Limited Operation through EOY 2022<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Due to recurring health issues, upcoming surgeries and the emotional stresses of these issues throughout the year, I am going to have to limit operations through the end of 2022. Within a few hours of that e-mail another e-mail came through saying my account was suspended for violating community standards. I clicked the link in the first e-mail saying that it wasn't me that asked to change the password and was taken to a screen stating that I had posted images of child sexual exploitation. I haven't been able to do anything or to get any help. Everything redirects me to the "your suspended" screen and when I click on "Help" it only gives me the option to log out or change my language. I did manage to get to a screen where I could log into the "Support" area but it wanted my user e-mail and password. I put in my user e-mail and clicked the "forgot password" and I was taken to a screen stating my e-mail was invalid. What the hell? There is virtually no direct support and I just have to wait for the bots to review my claim that I didn't change my password.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">This means I can't access the Private Large Scale Battletech Builders, Battlemech Models, or messenger. Unfortunately, messenger is what I use to communicate with clients for builds, commissions, or just other little things. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">In the meantime, if you need to get in touch with me please e-mail <a href="mailto:battlemechmodels@hotmail.com">HERE</a>.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I guess I'll have to hold off on the next mystery mech auction as well as a few other things. </span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-28520057909117185832022-08-03T17:15:00.001-05:002022-08-03T17:15:50.359-05:00Credit Where Credit is Due<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">The Marauder molds the caster made held out better than I thought and once I figured out the correct plates and tension, the casts I sent out were better than initially expected. So, I will concede that while there may have been a sh*t-ton of issues along the way the molds turned out really good kits.</span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-70355806803682426592022-06-26T10:46:00.001-05:002022-06-26T10:46:13.470-05:00Marauder...Bad News & More Bad News but a light at the end of the tunnel<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">My caster, JPG Productions, has quit the project. We had a lengthy discussion and there were too many contradicting "<i>reasons</i>" for delays and no answer for why the project sat idle for 2 months. He did, after all, <i>solicit me</i> for work back in February. Anyway, I was laying out my required timetable for completion and he said he'd be happier if he quit the project followed up with an "lol". Initially, I wanted to hold him to our agreement. That included a 15% discount every two weeks beyond the 6-week completion date. At his pace I could have gotten the kit completed for almost nothing. However, past experience has taught me when someone is doing a job they don't want to do they generally do not do their best work nor is it prioritized. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I have received the molds...most are okay. Others are pretty poorly done and will more than likely require remolding before I can complete the 30 orders outstanding. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">What this means is that I am having to rearrange my entire schedule. I am having to delay the the Awesome commission and pause my work on the Atlas commission, put the Nova & Stormcrow back into storage, limit future build commissions I take, and work like crazy to get the Vulcan done ASAP. The molds for the Vulcan are, at least, done and I am currently casting those kits. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I am frustrated and infuriated beyond belief. Several nights this week I have only slept for two-three hours because of the way this is weighing on me. At least now I feel like I have a little bit more control over the situation.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Hang in there folks. I got the proof of the Marauder and am pretty happy. There were a couple issues and the caster is working on them. The end is in sight.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">That being said, I am going to start sending out Vulcan invoices. I have been fine tuning the parts and had to make a couple cosmetic changes because of some rubber traps.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Stay tuned for preview pics of the Marauder.</span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-16854283933066480822022-05-05T21:01:00.001-05:002022-05-05T21:01:57.329-05:00Vulcan Pre-Order<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">First, for those waiting on the Marauder the caster <i>ASSURES </i>me that it will be done by the end of the month. I'm sorry for the wait and while this caster may be slow, he does good work. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I generally don't like opening a pre-order for a new kit when there is still one outstanding but I can't keep the business on hold while my caster gets his who-ha sorted out. That being said, there has been some interest in the Vulcan redux. This is an updated version of the Classic 3025 line. The legs and body have been beefed up, details added, lots of articulation, etc. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">If we get 15 pre-orders, the kit will sell for $100 plus shipping. If we hit 20 pre-orders the pre-order price will be reduced to $85 plus shipping. Anyone who is interested please e-mail me at <a href="mailto:battlemechmodels@hotmail.com" target="_blank"><b><span style="color: red;">HERE</span></b></a>. I will begin collecting names and if we hit the 15 mark I will start sending invoices. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-yomgYOdbqTD8xXz1qJ24qN1HFwG4iRbcp54Ccf8JTLE72F17CfapvDAJ-sKjRwl4WOaacNueJtDcG2utmuyR_dR1i6SYb5OHMkuf-okxHJ5LuMhJQr-j0WUMzPCqiNa1fqS4jUm7N2WYvX0Mi0WxuK9BWGNlXmj_AfQPqAiq8zDzvEp5oF5nQ-1eeQ/s1329/Vulcan%20front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1329" data-original-width="1052" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-yomgYOdbqTD8xXz1qJ24qN1HFwG4iRbcp54Ccf8JTLE72F17CfapvDAJ-sKjRwl4WOaacNueJtDcG2utmuyR_dR1i6SYb5OHMkuf-okxHJ5LuMhJQr-j0WUMzPCqiNa1fqS4jUm7N2WYvX0Mi0WxuK9BWGNlXmj_AfQPqAiq8zDzvEp5oF5nQ-1eeQ/s320/Vulcan%20front.jpg" width="253" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfWRGWAmYeaESP9cpQaSNkrIftQGOeFLgKIyirPA8Aah4r68xBzbU6mYpLCwnmorbJA8aouEUXJGBs8sE4r8rSV2E1Ng3gQso7HSx1nMARroW5UuANhqcNhDsjntPplgsA3ui_5uoWHA1FI16ZH2jmdlWzgNsYpIuv2Tom6_5NXb67JuGD0me3emO3kw/s1553/Vulcan%20side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1553" data-original-width="954" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfWRGWAmYeaESP9cpQaSNkrIftQGOeFLgKIyirPA8Aah4r68xBzbU6mYpLCwnmorbJA8aouEUXJGBs8sE4r8rSV2E1Ng3gQso7HSx1nMARroW5UuANhqcNhDsjntPplgsA3ui_5uoWHA1FI16ZH2jmdlWzgNsYpIuv2Tom6_5NXb67JuGD0me3emO3kw/s320/Vulcan%20side.jpg" width="197" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGAi_nCjZIN8LTFERUgcKW3AiS55YaqCvawyUc9Ar5H660Bs45Q2-Fb5RKvgVpUom0nCdfTjodZQ3zUI-OCHNFcVE5RbUowIr5ymUCrJoJkYyBet6OU7_i92weWF88Ef4Lu4IhubKSUXHEqAATBC8ZSFhPg9ziT9p11mHaytwupwwY4Sl79BOCRq_DGQ/s2048/Vulcan%20Front%20-%20Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1975" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGAi_nCjZIN8LTFERUgcKW3AiS55YaqCvawyUc9Ar5H660Bs45Q2-Fb5RKvgVpUom0nCdfTjodZQ3zUI-OCHNFcVE5RbUowIr5ymUCrJoJkYyBet6OU7_i92weWF88Ef4Lu4IhubKSUXHEqAATBC8ZSFhPg9ziT9p11mHaytwupwwY4Sl79BOCRq_DGQ/s320/Vulcan%20Front%20-%20Copy.jpg" width="309" /></a></div><br />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-62842195173472268402022-04-07T16:36:00.001-05:002022-04-07T16:36:36.354-05:00Savannah Master Kit<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Savannah Master now available! I always considered the Vulcan to be an ugly mech. However, I recently played MW5 and saw the redesign of the Vulcan. I actually liked it. Now, I tend to avoid the MWO versions of mechs as there are 3D copies all over the web and everyone seems to have a 3D printer and an Etsy shop. But...</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">My bailiwick has always been taking the Classic 3025 era mechs and updating the designs. The Vulcan seemed like a prime candidate for one of my makeovers. So, here it is...an updated Vulcan. Please note, this is not a finished form....just a rough draft. If there is enough interest, I will finish it off and kit it once the Marauder is done and shipped.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">If this is a kit you would purchase, please let me know in the comments sections.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">Thanks and have a great day!</span></p><p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEghJr68iu1cThLv2jdulxr3ekzgiqANH1L5R17y8382LOf3Y2Y3h6OhUPiHieqpmLUK-H7KfJ0aHaH5algDlafEWS4RLitO70gxD73ZZXbsYe5wS_iKaG2uLjudzMaHEQGEgRkxsDY7Kzt3XQmhktNCIL7Kb5w8-19xgg2YMZjYBCz7XOmNsFnMXpzVPA=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1975" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEghJr68iu1cThLv2jdulxr3ekzgiqANH1L5R17y8382LOf3Y2Y3h6OhUPiHieqpmLUK-H7KfJ0aHaH5algDlafEWS4RLitO70gxD73ZZXbsYe5wS_iKaG2uLjudzMaHEQGEgRkxsDY7Kzt3XQmhktNCIL7Kb5w8-19xgg2YMZjYBCz7XOmNsFnMXpzVPA=s320" width="309" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">With the old Wolfhound for scale</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjDp30oq5NBn5flZuHnZ53X-FN44hTMj0dhOIcMFyBXm1lfoko2KoVm9g03WxikjhZ8yN_BgPBqpeheO7xxst7rLSMH7ph8v39sDTvEjSeonb_y8altCG7AysgleD8grKzszQADQUTblHnIiC8vncV2L3OUUN6AmihCu-dzKE9yx8UUPx2mEW_9hySIUg=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1513" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjDp30oq5NBn5flZuHnZ53X-FN44hTMj0dhOIcMFyBXm1lfoko2KoVm9g03WxikjhZ8yN_BgPBqpeheO7xxst7rLSMH7ph8v39sDTvEjSeonb_y8altCG7AysgleD8grKzszQADQUTblHnIiC8vncV2L3OUUN6AmihCu-dzKE9yx8UUPx2mEW_9hySIUg=s320" width="236" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">From the back</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-48143874360960197902022-02-21T21:27:00.001-06:002022-02-21T21:27:38.789-06:00Marauder Pre-Order Closing<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">FYI: The pre-orders for the Marauder seem to have peaked. As no new orders are coming in, the pre-order will close on Friday January 25. Any Marauder ordered after that will be sold at regular retail, currently TBD but it will be around $135 plus shipping.</span></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199855792799927944.post-77928764645492563032022-02-14T19:22:00.000-06:002022-02-14T19:22:22.427-06:00Marauder Pre-Order<p><span style="font-family: verdana;">I have my quote from the caster and am opening the pre-order for the Marauder. The price will be $120.00 plus shipping. Shipping to the lower 48 is $12.50. Due to the constantly varying rates and Covid restrictions, International orders will have shipping billed separately once the kit is ready. Please PM me or e-mail battlemechmodels@hotmail.com to order. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;">The kit will have 2 cockpit options, the AC is a ball and socket for dynamic poses, and other joints are bevel/recess designs like the Quickdraw hip joints. This allows, again, for more dynamic poses when building. While I neglected to measure it I would estimate it at 8.5-9" tall.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi0K4C2cYs90w2s_pAS0q7NwDnQvzS85Y8tHN2zof5GO708YjMgLfT5Tj2j7p8TolL2aglllo7RIWYIn_saBM-st1eeJ1hHmuuep5q6uSPwCxWScW5dZVqdXQiI8UlL6t8L7r_8EBAZqQv0AB5I8uLH53zuab5Gf1-dER90rDnz475kCzNDcu1bEQ_BOw=s960" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="512" data-original-width="960" height="171" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi0K4C2cYs90w2s_pAS0q7NwDnQvzS85Y8tHN2zof5GO708YjMgLfT5Tj2j7p8TolL2aglllo7RIWYIn_saBM-st1eeJ1hHmuuep5q6uSPwCxWScW5dZVqdXQiI8UlL6t8L7r_8EBAZqQv0AB5I8uLH53zuab5Gf1-dER90rDnz475kCzNDcu1bEQ_BOw=s320" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiOkKuv-bhFUp1bgoAJR-PQXtSoytaFNi8PFS3E6b6p-bG4FbP6WgcAbGGlJ0617OM9dfoKM-y9CqvQKmjiEbeTRu7NZflExUTzCfnKuM9hppxpIoV-wPKH2mGtQPI1janEhrFKxkPb4oHRekMbJ794SsN1xkQTz0-6rPSm-nM87h8U3CqcN9Vj5NY-mQ=s1787" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1787" data-original-width="1374" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiOkKuv-bhFUp1bgoAJR-PQXtSoytaFNi8PFS3E6b6p-bG4FbP6WgcAbGGlJ0617OM9dfoKM-y9CqvQKmjiEbeTRu7NZflExUTzCfnKuM9hppxpIoV-wPKH2mGtQPI1janEhrFKxkPb4oHRekMbJ794SsN1xkQTz0-6rPSm-nM87h8U3CqcN9Vj5NY-mQ=s320" width="246" /></a></div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj6hHkofOAtwncHh_uqasVXcFXmgaVVGJTqsTsLcn98Uog8yhCw8HPtl3KzWV6jlKr8oCgd-Wt5TbLUeUnLfrgROjRAWdRanDHTji1PYeb12E5nNi5lUGE9FSnCa7WBS80JlUVcH1sxDzyNV-gUpI5bJxwRYfe_cp3jDv2GFUOTKC_h3uEdV9ehKpEbPA=s3068" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3068" data-original-width="2036" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj6hHkofOAtwncHh_uqasVXcFXmgaVVGJTqsTsLcn98Uog8yhCw8HPtl3KzWV6jlKr8oCgd-Wt5TbLUeUnLfrgROjRAWdRanDHTji1PYeb12E5nNi5lUGE9FSnCa7WBS80JlUVcH1sxDzyNV-gUpI5bJxwRYfe_cp3jDv2GFUOTKC_h3uEdV9ehKpEbPA=s320" width="212" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjlRX_kjSeg9RvXMPP7H6kbETeUDU1fIvWkJuGBP0lc1h6CfuMvRVs5G_-Soc5YqpisDAFvrzIKzBSZsXYGAuQvnb8c0C-KTL8Yt-RtFow4XNzwdY8vo4GJmPB-X6To-_Cqz3MQEzHA1yEveCoMP1c2RSqB-_Bxnw1T7gRX-yqb92Bxa-QTJasRkHqTcw=s2458" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2160" data-original-width="2458" height="281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjlRX_kjSeg9RvXMPP7H6kbETeUDU1fIvWkJuGBP0lc1h6CfuMvRVs5G_-Soc5YqpisDAFvrzIKzBSZsXYGAuQvnb8c0C-KTL8Yt-RtFow4XNzwdY8vo4GJmPB-X6To-_Cqz3MQEzHA1yEveCoMP1c2RSqB-_Bxnw1T7gRX-yqb92Bxa-QTJasRkHqTcw=s320" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><br /><br />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
