Owens Build Notes

Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in warm water with a mildly abrasive cleaner like Ajax, Softscrub or Comet. This will cleanse any additional mold release and allow paints to adhere to the surface.  Remove flash or over pour with a razor knife or saw.  Additionally, it is strongly recommended that you test fit all pieces before final assembly.

Note that there are many “ball & socket” joints.  These are designed for the builder to choose a position to post the mech in before gluing.  They are not designed to remain unglued to play with or what not.

Here are the parts you get:
Radar, Tag, Laser unit mounts on top....

Torso attaches to hip unit as such....

Legs are assembled like this...

LRMs mount on the sides....

Or you can cut of the ball and grind out the socket and add magnets like I did...

And here you have a fully assembled Owens....

One note...when I assembled my prototype, the round disk that inserts into the ankle groove was too thick on one of the ankles (outlined in yellow).  A quick rub with the sanding stick reduced the thickness just a bit and it slide right into the groove.
