Good day all. Just a quick update...the caster is still having issues and there is still a backlog on getting the Atlas done. I apologize about the wait, but it will be worth it. The kit is awesome if the demo copy he sent is what I send out. Lots of pieces...lots of resin.
The same caster has the Owens and the Fafnir so don't expect those to be out anytime soon. I am in discussions with another caster to work on the Loki in the meantime.
Finally, I am having an end of the year close out sale. If you buy one kit, it is 20% off. Two or more kits will be 30% off.

Mechwarrior Online Atlas preview
The first MWO Atlas came in today for me to approve...and it looks good. For those that qualified for the "I had to wait 7 months for the Vulture MK IV" discount, you are getting this for a steal. Jimi at JPG really discounted this thing for taking so long on the MK IV...and that discount got passed along to you. This amount of resin and number of parts would easily retail for around $200.
Take a peek...build-up to come.

Update
Well, well, well. The Owens and the Fafnir are both at the caster. Expect the Owens first...then the Fafnir. Fair warning, the Fafnir is going to take a lot of resin and the pieces are big which means big mold which means lots of rubber. Count on this bad boy coming in at about $200. Start saving your pennies today.
The Thor is back in stock.
Not sure when I will restock the Warhawk. The last couple units sold where in a "fire sale" and I am not sure I feel like having pricey inventory sitting on the shelf, especially when the money can go into new products.
The same is true of the Vulture MK IV. I still have 2 of the original 25 just sitting here collecting dust.

Good News...Bad News...
So, which do you want first? The good or the bad? Well, lets just get the bad news out of the way. Celtic Works, the new caster, has had to close shop for the foreseeable future. That means no Owens kit. Insert sad face here.
Good news: I am about done with the Hellbringer (Loki). There is some cosmetic touch up work to be done, but she is about there.
That being said, as I am now down to one caster mechs are going to trickle out for a while. JPG is working on the Atlas and then I have him tasked on the Fafnir. The Owens and Hellbringer are just going to have to sit around for a while. Another sad face here.

Guess what is at the caster's?
Trying out a new caster...CelticWorks. He does lots of armor stuff and expressed an interest in casting mechs. Since Jimi at JPG Productions is still getting caught up after his accident, I figured I would give Steve a shot. Expect the first 10 in about a month or so.

Atlas pre-order: Update
The pre-order price for the MWO Atlas will end at 11:59 PM on September 18, 2015. After that, all pre-order will be at the regular retail pricing. Any pre-order invoices that have been sent that are not paid by the due date will be cancelled. So, you might ask, why pre-order then? Well, there will still be a perk...another plaque. Anyone who pre-orders the Atlas before the pre-order is officially closed will receive a plaque similar to the one included with the Vulture MK IV. This includes those that participated in the Vulture MK IV perk!

Invoices
Hi all. Quick note: PayPal auto-generated an invoice number and chose to continue the MadCat invoice numbers. All the recent invoices clearly state it is for the Thor. Sorry for the confusion!
On a side note...when I made the MK IV, I followed the drawings I had that relied heavily on the mini (see image). Personally, I think the missile sections of the torso are too wide so I am going to mod my "marketing copy" to reflect the way I think it should look. I will document the processes so anyone who wants to follow suit can. Or, you can utilize my build-up services....just saying...

Vulture MK IV Prototype
This came in the mail today...the prototype of the Vulture MK IV. Below you will see parts pics and a pic or two of it after being quickly slapped together. My main issue...again, I neglected to anticipate the weight of the upper body.

Thor Invoice
Just an FYI....I will sit down and send out invoices later this week. I would rather do a bunch at once than one or two a day. Thanks for your patience!

Stuff
What a great, ambiguous title for a post, huh? Stuff. Could be anything.
First...talked with the caster and I am not happy. The Vulture MK IV I sent him mid-January is still not done. In fact, he has still not molded some of the parts. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am with that situation.
Speaking of frustration...I am job hunting. The career field I am in is dying on the vine. Unfortunately, I am a "jack-of-all-trades" and a master of none...surprisingly unmarketable around here. Very frustrating.
Second...I received the Centurion 3D print and I am more than happy with it. It does have the lines and what-not inherent with 3D printing but not as bad as I have seen. There is going to be some clean-up that has to be done and a few mods around joints, but I think this will make an awesome kit one day.
Third...I have finished all I am going to do with Scott's Atlas. There are some areas that will just be easier to clean when cast. I had to mod a few pieces to make them casting friendly...fill gaps...touch up some details...I am just anal as hell and am never happy with anything it seems. That one has gone to the caster and will be kitted when the caster gets caught up with all his other work.
Fourth....for Destiny players....working on a 1:1 Ghost Generalist Shell. It will be hollow for lighting.
Fifth...working on a 1:1000 scale UNSC Frigate from the Halo-verse from a 3D print. It will be about 20" when done. Yay me!
Finally, two commissions going on, I am making a Victor for one client...not a pricey build as I have some parts left over from when it was a kit. The other is...wait for it...the Fafnir. My first build was never meant to be a kit...but this client wants me to make one that could be kitted. Don't hold your breath, though. Between the build and what-not, it would not see kit form until 2016...but it looks like it will happen.

Bored, Bored, Bored...
No commissions coming in right now. No real motivation to finish anything other than Scott's Atlas. Job hunting just sucks. Anyone else feeling kinda glum lately?
For those not interested in my whining, here are some pics of the Centurion I am having printed.
