Cougar...any interest?

Scott over at the Messy Desk blog decided he was tired of the Cougar and passed it on to me to work on. I have been filling out a few details, cleaning some of the putty work, and redoing the cockpit...I think it should be a bit bigger.

I am considering having this one kitted....but before I do, I am trying to gauge serious interest. There was interest in the Puma, but sales did not really correspond with the number of people who said they wanted one.

So, how many of you would commit to purchasing a Cougar. I can tell you it would be a good casting…I have an established professional in our field doing it. I would guess-timate the price at about $80 (plus shipping) American.  The main body would take a lot of resin.

More from across the pond...Osiris!

Simon is at it again.  He has just finished a 1/60 (ish) Osiris.  It is a very nice build!  I have included some pics and more info is available at his blog.  You might even convince him to sell you a copy...I did!

Calling Andrew!!!!!

About 10 years ago, a chap from the UK sold me a Battletech kit he had made.  Since then, I have lost contact with Andrew G.

Mr. Hellbringer...if you are still out there, give me a shout!

Flea ready to roll!

Here is the Flea...ready to go scouting.  I am really pleased with the way this one turned out. Now, if I only had the funds to get it molded and cast.....

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a...Flea?

So, I have been trying to use the paper models found at MW3.org to make plastic models.  Scott at the Messy Desk blog is the Jedi Master...he has been fine tuning his skill for some time.  I have only been playing with this for a few months now.  Here is my latest attempt...a Flea.  You have to love the chicken-leg designs!  This design sparked my interest much more than the original TRO version seen here.

First, I cut out the general pattern and started gluing stuff together.

Once I was happy with the general shapes, I started detailing the mech.  It is hard to get an idea of how it looks until you hit it with some primer.  Here is where it stands now. I am working on the hip area and will hopefully have it done soon.

Hunchback, MW4 Style

Here it is!  From Simon Kelly in the UK is the Hunchback kit.  The last one we had was a revamped recast of the Tyco toy.  This is a completely new scratch build that has been converted to a kit.  It is currently available on eBay UK.

Here is the link: Simon's Auction

And here are some pics!
